The roots of the gruesome discoveries seem tied to the improvements made in running shoe technology. However, since the BC Coroners Service declares two new, fitting feet surfaced earlier this month on a shore near Port Renfrew, they have had nearly ten years to resolve the puzzle.

You will find neither “odd serial killers” running amputations, nor “funny small aliens” depositing appendages across B.C. shores, she explained. “A great deal of this is just the quelling of the public imagination, to state, that is unfortunate, and they are all unfortunate instances. Fourteen toes have turned up over the shore through time, along with the coroner has recognized ten as belonging to seven individuals. Not one of those instances involved foul play. “We fairly well believe we understand what happened in each scenario,” explained McLintock.
The coroner reported that the most recent feet had the same owner – even though the deceased has not yet been identified. McLintock said the coroner has attempted to teach people that the toes split naturally in the method of decomposition — and nothing nefarious was happening.
The confounding sources of these gruesome discoveries seem tied to the improvements made in conducting shoe technology Tamsyn Burgmann, she explained.
“It did not appear until we had running shoes which drifted so nicely,” she explained, noting that the improvements of milder foam and air pockets. “Before, they only stayed there down in the bottom of the sea”. “There is none that have some hint of homicide,” explained McLintock. “In each case, there’s an alternative, entirely reasonable explanation.”
However, some news posts reviewing such details over the decade have not stopped speculation.

“Once I was raising that chance, that is all I had been doing. There was a range of hypotheses floating about — pardon the pun,” he explained in a meeting on Wednesday.
He remembered being bombarded with calls from press established around the planet when a succession of five feet washed ashore within the first year.
Investigations take time and demand analyzing concepts, he explained, adding he does not feel the speculation was debatable. “In the event of drifting feet, it is an open discussion regarding the whys and wherefores…Folks are titillated. And it became newsworthy and still is.”
