Play creation:

Each year The Friendly Spike Theatre Band creates and presents a community based play,

Past works include the ground breaking Marked, Living With a Stigma (1993) A woman’s journey through the psychiatric system, I Will Not Fall (1995) based on the life of Champion Assault Survivor

Francine Nicholas, Angels of 999 (1999/2000) a play documenting psychiatric patients history, The Girls of Grandview (2001) a play about institutional abuse at The Grandview Training School for Girls

More currently A Common Cause #1 (2003) a play based on a psychiatric review board hearing,

And Human Rights Matter (2005) A play about speaking out for human rights.

Currently, we are developing a work that will encourage self definition.
